Portfolio

Below you will find examples of my work, which includes professional journalism, copywriting, and blog posts written for various clients.

World Animal Foundation

In-depth research articles covering the plight of endangered animal species for the World Animal Foundation (WAF), an animal rights group. These articles required excellent research skills, the ability to summarize information, and a creative voice. As an animal lover, I enjoyed contributing my writing to a good cause while learning new information about wildlife conservation along the way! 🐯🌿

I write and create engaging and informative copy for the Miami Tunnel, a toll-free direct route to PortMiami. My content captivates and educates the Miami Tunnel's online audience about this vital infrastructure development by highlighting its innovative design and efficiency in reducing congested traffic in downtown Miami. The CEO and a Chairman of the Miami Tunnel have applauded my work, expressing how they love their LinkedIn profile for the tunnel and social media posts reflecting the changes and focusing on what the tunnel does every day to get people to and from the seaport safely and smoothly.

Kibble Katcher Amazon Graphics

Due to this client dropping the price of their product, the Amazon product page for the Kibble Katcher needed an update. So, I rewrote the copy to state the benefits and features of the Kibble Katcher. 🐾

Feature Stories & Journalism

Everything I've written for the purposes of journalism and storytelling through feature stories. These are articles that include interviews and research conducted by me.

Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate: HomeCity

The Capstone project I completed for my Master of Arts in Journalism at Emerson College. I wrote four articles covering subjects relating to the main topic of the declining French language in New England.

I interviewed over a dozen people to gather their stories and experiences with the French language. Throughout these articles, I gathered relevant data and sources to highlight the decline of this language but also a potential rebirth.

My project summary: The French language was once common throughout New England. However, various factors contributed to its modern decline. Today, there is a mission to bring it back.

Check out the four full-length articles here.

I have written content with a pet brand that strives to create exciting products for dogs and dog lovers.

As a journalist, I’m lucky for the opportunity to interview various people and share their stories with a broader audience. In this writing sample, I interviewed an experienced dog trainer who started her own business to do what she loves daily.

This blog post is written as a Q&A interview highlighting my conversational interview skills and storytelling abilities. Check out the full post here.

Within my work, I combine my journalism experience and blog writing skills to create interesting content relevant to current events.

This blog post gives solid advice backed by news and real estate sources on the best strategies for downsizing with your dog.

I created this graphic and wrote the copy for a client creating an “Adventure Lab,” which is a real-life scavenger hunt with clues on the app.

With the popularity of the author, Jack Kerouac, I wrote the copy with the intention of attracting dedicated fans of his work and newcomers discovering him for the first time through the app.

I placed the three photos below to represent the phases of Kerouac’s life: his birthplace, high school, and the church where his funeral was held.

I wrote this press release for an innovative dog bowl feeder. I clearly stated the story behind this pet product and its benefits that make a dog owner’s life easier with this no-mess dog feeder. Check out the full press release here.

Check out my earlier online written content below, as well as other writing samples.

Blog Post for Non-Profit

I offer blog writing services for all kinds of organizations that are working to promote their mission and values.

In this example, I wrote a post for the Franco-American Centre. The FAC is a non-profit organization promoting and preserving Franco-American heritage, culture, and language in New England.

Because this blog post needed to be centered around Christmas, I started researching to see if this cultural group had its own traditions. Once I found out about Le Réveillon and La Fête des Rois, I began forming a post around the heartwarming history of these deep cultural and religious traditions.

Spec Ad: Event for French Conversation Group.

I created this spec ad based on an existing ad for this event. The original ad didn’t have any design aspect to it, so I decided to redo the ad in a more visually appealing way using textures and shapes.
